This golden autumn season, teeming with technology and innovation, has seen Lankwitzer’s sales team appear in a world-renowned pageant in Germany - InnoTrans 2024 (Berlin International Rail Transit Technology Exhibition), where top companies, experts, scholars and industry elites from around the world could be seen, and the latest technologies, products and services in the field of rail transit were presented. The following is what Lankwitzer has learned from the event to bring some inspiration to our colleagues in the rail transit sector.

At the exhibition site, what came to our eyes first was a dazzling array of high-tech exhibits, from high-speed trains to intelligent signal systems, and from energy-saving rail transit solutions to highly automated vehicle maintenance technologies, each of which demonstrated the vigor and innovation of the rail transit industry. The scene made Lankwitzer believe that technology acts as a driver of the rail transit industry at an unprecedented speed, making our travel easier, safer and greener.

As green travel has become a highlight of this exhibition under the background of global warming, exhibitors showcased their green technologies and products, such as low-energy electric drive systems, the application of renewable energy, and design solutions for less carbon emissions, indicating the enterprises’ social responsibility and signifying a greener and more sustainable path of the rail transit space.

Intelligence, available from autonomous trains to intelligent dispatching systems, or from big data analysis to the application of IoT technology, is hugely changing what the rail transit industry will look like, as “intelligence” was another key word of this feast.
