On August 20, 2020, Qingyuan Maglev, a new generation of medium-low-speed magnetic levitation train with the highest speed level developed by CRRC Tangshan, has completed the static commissioning of the whole vehicle and started the trial operation. The yellow-and-white Qingyuan Maglev is quietly and smoothly moving along the magnetic levitation rails, just like a lovely dolphin “flying close to the ground”. The train is tailored for the first medium-low-speed Maglev tourism line in China, for which Lankwitzer provided the paint for the entire lightweight aluminum alloy body.

As the new generation of Maglev with the fastest operating speed for the medium-low-speed magnetic levitation system in the world, CRRC Tangshan has incorporated a lot of technological elements in the industrial design of the vehicle, such as the low resistance streamlined front end resembling a smiling dolphin, concise painting and fine high-tech LED lighting. Inside the train, the seats are light and ergonomically designed; the lumbar support for disabled passengers is designed to be comfortable and beautiful; the alternating colors of the seats, the dark pattern design, and the ring-shaped LED lights on the roof enrich the riding experience of passengers.

The train has the technical advantages of “small turning radius and strong climbing ability”, the cost performance of “low engineering, operation, and maintenance costs”, the eco-friendliness of safety and reliability, low carbon and energy-saving, low noise, and has completely independent intellectual property rights for the whole industrial chain. Its technology is at the forefront of magnetic levitation transportation.
