On June 7 at 12:00 local time in Serbia (June 7 at 18:00 Beijing time), the high-speed EMU developed by China for the Hungary-Serbia Railway made its debut at the Zemun Depot in Belgrade, Serbia. This is another milestone accomplishment brought by the integration of China's railway technology and equipment with the EU Technical Specification for Interoperability (TSI), marking China's high-speed EMU has made its inroads into Europe for the first time, and China's high-end rail transit equipment has made significant breakthroughs in "going global".
Lankwitzer worked with CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. to present customized coating solutions for the high-speed EMU of the Hungary-Serbia Railway. Combining with Serbian operating environment and line conditions, applicability improvements have been made to meet the coating performance needs of the Hungary-Serbia Railway project.
This coating solution features excellent weather resistance and corrosion resistance, hugely improving the coating performance of trains in complex climate environments abroad and extending the service life of vehicle coatings.
The appearance of the vehicle is streamlined and painted in red, blue and white like those in the Serbian national flag. The black area on the side of the vehicle embraces the pattern of the double-headed eagle on the Serbian national emblem, and the gradually-blue ribbons resemble the spread wings of the flying eagle; Besides, the red ribbon and the blue one symbolize the "New Silk Road" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" respectively, showcasing the amazing vision of China and Serbia to jointly and excellently build the "the Belt and Road" Initiative and work together to embrace common development and prosperity.
We look forward to the smooth progress of the Hungary-Serbia High-speed Railway project, and hold the belief that the cooperation between Lankwitzer and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. will shape a more brilliant future.
